John Cully

I am delighted to be a Governor at Rush Common School and contributing to the strategic direction and good running of the school.

My Governor Portfolio Role is Attendance, Behaviour and Student Experience. In addition I’m supporting a number of curriculum subjects through school visits.

I became a Governor in May 2023 and have a Grandson in Year 3. I have a corporate business background in Construction, Facilities Services and Engineering Consultancy having held the role of Chief Procurement Officer at services provider Amey Plc, and being part of the leadership team. As a major provider to Government, I’ve been involved in some of the most complex infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas, and through managing large teams of people and delivering critical projects offer my experience and expertise in supporting the Governing Committee and Head Teacher.
