On Friday 6th March 2020, Year 5 had an exciting visit to Our Lady’s Abingdon where they learnt about physics and “dancing atoms”. They were shown what happens when you immerse bananas and flowers in liquid nitrogen and “cook” a fried egg with it. The children were shown how different gases react to heat and technology which could eventually allow the development of levitating trains. The visit ended with delicious ice cream that had been made with even more liquid nitrogen.
