Y3 Visit to the Ashmolean Museum

As part of their History topic, ‘The Egyptians’, Year 3 children visited the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford on 7th July 2017. They participated in an Egyptian detective activity, where the children matched photos to artefacts. They also had the opportunity to handle artefacts and, given clues, decided their purpose. They sketched objects and paintings around the museum and viewed some real mummies – Gjeb, Taqhara and Meresamun.
