Visit to the Fellowship at All Saints Church

posted in: Year Four News 0

On Thursday 15th November twelve Year 4 children attended a Fellowship meeting at  All Saints Church accompanied by Mrs Jackson, Mrs Winifrith and Miss Gibson.

Some  children read their poems that they had written during lessons and others read their haiku poems. They also displayed the poppies they had made on a ribbon.

Two favorite WW1 songs, “It’s a long way to Tipperary” and “Keep the Home Fires Burning” were sung by the children.  This was a huge success as the community joined in and asked for an encore. Two of the children played the beat on a drum.

This event is always enjoyable and it is  a privilege to take the children. They were all a credit to the school and themselves.
