Years 1 – 6 started the new school year with an adventure under the sea! Each year group had the opportunity to immerse themselves in our new school-wide topic of Oceans through a virtual reality Google expedition.
One child commented,” I really enjoyed the VR experience because it was something we don’t do very often. I liked all the different scenes that you could see, like the dolphins, coral and sea lions. It made me feel like I was actually there myself.
After school, I got the chance to experience some other time periods such as Anglo Saxons, Vikings, World War Trenches, Egyptians and the Black Death. They were all incredible. My favourite was the Anglo-Saxons because it had so many cool facts and it made me immerse myself and forget about the world around me.”
