On Friday 29th November, Year 5 children travelled back in time to the Victorian era to experience a Victorian school day. They completed arithmetic and handwriting practice on chalk boards before being allowed to use dip pens. They had a Victorian style PE lesson and many hand inspections. The children were also able to handle some Victorian artefacts and make their own Victorian style toys (ball and cup and peg dolls). Some children even experienced Victorian school punishments of the back straightener, finger stocks and the cane!
