On Monday 4th March, Years 3 , 4 and 5 experienced a Quidditch Taster Day, led by members of the Oxford University Quidditch team. We warmed up by ‘flying’ around the field on our brooms (3 foot long plastic pipes) and then worked on some of the skills. For example, as seekers we had to try to retrieve the golden snitch; we practised throwing quaffles through the large hoops and as beaters, we enjoyed throwing the bludgers (soft green balls!) at the chasers (the university students!) The children had a fantastic time and more information will follow regarding the Quidditch Club, which will begin in Autumn 2019. Our utmost thanks go to the four students from St Edmund Hall for giving their time and bringing resources to Rush Common.
Rushwarts!
