Remembrance Day

Our Remembrance Service today was, as always, a very moving occasion.  We all felt incredibly proud of our pupils and their respectful and mature attitudes throughout the ceremony. Our thanks to Mr Owen who gave up his time to come into school to play The Last Post and Reveille, which really made the occasion feel extra special, and all our special guests who gave up their time to support us.The children read poems and readings at the service and sang “Keep the Home Fires Burning” and “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary”.  The children have created a display to commemorate the hundred year anniversary of the end of the First World War. Sincere thanks are due to one of our Governors, Mr Chris Wilmshurst, who very generously donated the two Perspex soldiers for us as part of the Royal British Legion “There But Not There” initiative.
