The school entered two teams of four children in the ‘Orange Ball’ Tennis Competition. The B team played against Marcham, Caldecott and Long Furlong, unfortunately just missing out on qualifying from the group rounds. A special thanks to Mrs Webb and Mrs Minto who were great team managers.
The A team played Our Lady’s, Long Furlong and Sunningwell in the group games, winning every game with some excellent tennis from all 4 players. The semi finals was a tough match against a Year 6 team from St Nicolas. Some close games of 8-7 and 9-8 helped them reach to the final, against another Year 6 team Thomas Reade. Convincing victories of 9-2, 8-6, 8-4 and 10-4 saw them obtain the trophy!
