This week saw three performances of “Olivia!” by Year 5 to parents and KS2. This excellent production combined elements from “Oliver”, “My Fair Lady” and the comic operas of Gilbert and Sullivan. Orphan Olivia tries to find her way in life, helped by Eliza who just wants to be a proper lady. Along the way, she meets Fagin and the Artful Dodger who are trying to stay away from a life of crime. Annie has lost her memory but with the help of Sherlock Holmes and her fellow flower sellers, she learns all that she needs to know. A happy ending all round! Well done to everyone in Year 5 who worked so hard to learn their lines and songs. Thank you to all the families for your support with costumes and helping with those lines and songs.
Olivia!
