One of the first duties of our newly elected School Parliament members was to meet with Layla Moran, our local MP. Ms Moran wished to visit the school on hearing about Grace’s plans for the International Day of the Girl Child. Grace gave an outline of the day and the fundraising activities then invited other members of the School Parliament to ask questions. These included:
What is Brexit? How will Brexit affect children? What is your favourite part of being an MP?
Ms Moran commented on the lovely atmosphere in the school and how calm and focussed the children were.
