The subjects History and Geography are covered within the area of ‘Humanities’. Each year group has a variety of topics and themes through which these subjects are taught, allowing children to develop their skills of enquiry and the ability to record information well. Humanities topics are often taught in a cross curricular manner, including trips, visits, speakers, themed days, drama and dressing up. This ensures a high quality learning experience.
Examples include: Florence Nightingale Day, Egyptian Day and World War II Day.
In Term 1, Year 3 pupils learnt about all the countries that form the United Kingdom.
