The children in Reception had a visit from the Abingdon Fire Service. They learnt about fire safety, what the fire service do to help people or animals and how to react if they came across a fire. The fire officers also showed the children around their fire engine, where they were able to see and learn about all of the equipment that is kept on a fire engine. Some children even could hold some of the equipment that fire officers use to put out a fire!
